Wow

Wow, we haven't updated in a long long time.

That kind of sucks.

Unfortunately, I really won't be able to post more of an update for about another 3 weeks.

OK boys, time to get on the stick. Some of us are bored at our grown-up jobs & you're letting us down.

So this isn't exactly flyover-specific, but it tickled my funny bone. I was listening to the Canucklehead radio getting ready for bed last night (like NPR but with funkier intro music). They had a short snippet about how the dreaded Robert Mugabe, terrible foe of human rights and general bad man, had brought in Chinese technicians to help him tap the Phones of His People. Here's a section of the transcript:

The government of Zimbabwe has decided to heed the call. All calls, in fact. Not known for its respect for human rights, it has introduced legislation that would allow it to monitor all cell phone and internet use in the country. Land-line-based phone calls and any other form of communications are already monitored. The government says the new law is needed to fight suspected terrorists. Of course, a terrorist in Zimbabwe could be defined as anyone who openly criticizes the President...

Whew, that sounds awful! Glad I live in America!!
